The Honeybell Bush is an attractive, hardy, easy-to-grow evergreen shrub that is used widely in South African gardens. Late winter and spring see the softly weeping stems covered in tiny clusters of blue, white or lilac flowers, and off and on through the year. Foliage is attractive, with small, glossy leaves along arching stems, and mature height ranges from 1 to 2,5 m with an equal spread. This frost and drought hardy shrub makes an excellent screen takes well to pruning into a hedge and helps to knit together a variety of shrubbery plants. Either single or multi-stemmed, the Freylinia can be pruned into a small tree and is an excellent container subject.
