Description

DUNE SCRUB EVERLASTING, HEATH-LEAF STRAWFLOWER; indigenous perennial up to 300mm tall and spreading to 500mm; native to the southern coastal regions of South Africa; this member of the fynbos family grows well at the coast and can tolerate a degree of drought; plant in a full sun location and ensure a fairly sandy, well-draining growing medium; medicinal properties include anti-microbial activity and the plant was used by Khoisan healers; upright, yellow flowers are borne in winter and spring and these go well with the aromatic, finely textured foliage; works well for indigenous gardens, rockeries and outdoor containers; the plant helps to brighten dull and dark winter days.
