Description

1 – 3 m in height and narrow, this is a beautiful tree or small shrub slow growing, but neat, thriving in semi-shade beneath trees. It prefers compost-enriched, moist soils, and it flowers well if trimmed lightly to keep a compact shape. Spring sees beautiful yellow flowers visited by bees and butterflies and black and red fruits eaten by birds and would look stunning outside a window. Prefers frost-free gardens but will cope with a mild frost. Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Western Cape
