Description

A small, evergreen shrub for the water garden, it bears tropical dark green leaves and tall spikes of nodding tubular orange-red flowers from October to July. Prune lightly after flowering; if frost damaged, but back to ground level in spring. Shrubs do best in full sun, but do enjoy light summer shade in the heat of the day. Stems grow lanky in too much shade.
