Description

An attractive see-through grass with slender blue-green leaves in spring becoming greener through summer, and a lovely red-brown in winter. Hanging spiklets – or awns – add lovely textural interest to a grassland garden. Hardy and drought-resistant, this grass is unfussy about soil type, but does require full sun. Height is very variable, between 40 cm – 1.2 m. Eastern Cape, Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape, North West, Western Cape
